mcfc.com launched yesterday – sister site to mcfc.co.uk, the official site of Manchester City Football Club and is especially tailored for US followers.

This site will be the first stop for American fans to find breaking news stories and exclusive features with a distinctly US theme.

For newer fans, it will be a chance to get to know the club a little better and understand why Manchester City Football Club is unique in so many ways, not least because of the fantastic and loyal support that has long been the envy of other English Premier League teams.

MCFC will be tracking down familiar faces to City fans on both sides of the Atlantic and featuring celebrities and sports stars from all walks of life.

And like the UK site, the content will be fresh and exclusive with player and manager interviews, news, features and videos as well as extensive coverage and daily updates from the forthcoming US tour which kicks off later this month.

Mcfc.com is the place you’ll need to stop-by first in order to keep up with the club as they turn the States sky blue.

MCFC will be stopping in Portland (Oregon), New York, Atlanta and Baltimore where City will take on two MLS soccer teams on the tour and play high-profile matches at four different venues.

The players and management will also be visiting various community projects and meeting American fans in person – and this is the place you’ll need to visit to find out when and where these events will be.

The itinerary starts on July 17 against Portland Timbers at Merlo Field on the campus of the University of Portland and continues as the Blues travel east to New Jersey to take part in the New York Challenge Tournament, playing Sporting Lisbon on July 23 and New York Red Bulls on July 25.

On July 28 the Blues will take on Club America at the Georgia Dome, Atlanta before wrapping up the tour against Inter Milan at Baltimore Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium on July 31.

His family encouraged him to begin brainstorming for a business venture that was flexible and appealed to a broad demographic. Much to his surprise, it was his son, 33, and his grandson, 12, who were the driving force of inspiration behind his newly developed business plan. The answer became very clear; PlayStation gaming consoles were the key to his future.

The Web site’s most recent addition is the PSP Go, which is a smaller version of this handheld device, as Eddy is continuously updating his inventory with the latest gaming technology developed by PlayStation.

Another exciting feature of his business is that shoppers have the option to rent a variety of games. However, beforehand customers can find information on the best PSP games available, read game reviews and news releases before finalizing their purchase. Don’t forget to complete an order by selecting a few of the must-have accessories – like a PSP travel case and an in-ear headset – to enhance the gaming experience.

Thanks to his Christian morals, he also is proud to have a tasteful and clean-cut Web site that’s free of anything obscene and is appropriate for all audiences.

Local businesses using coupons to help San Bruno Fire victims

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 27, 2010

Breaking Causes.com has launched to provide a free community service for nonprofit organizations and good causes that uses an innovative reward system for attracting donors. Breaking Causes takes the concept of the online Daily Deal discount coupon made popular by Groupon and creates Daily Deal campaigns for good causes that are promoted locally and regionally across the national media network The Breaking News Network. With Deals discounts ranging from 50%-80%, consumers not only feel good about supporting a worthy cause, but they receive tangible value for their donation.

Breaking Causes, together with local managers of the Breaking News Network cities, selectively work with good causes to create campaigns with local merchants at the grass roots level. Participating merchants receive good will from their community support while benefiting from new customer acquisition in the same way Groupon’s Daily Deals does. The cause benefits fully from all funds raised; after hard costs associated with coupon payment processing, fulfillment and after care support are deducted, the net proceeds are donated in full to the cause within 15 days.

Breaking Causes also selectively works with local businesses in creating the same type innovative fund raisers for causes they support. Causes and local merchants can submit their interest at www.breakingcauses.com/contact

“The idea of a Groupon for causes is really a no-brainer,” says Joe Waters of Selfishgiving.com, a blog devoted to following cause marketing trends, and Director, Cause Marketing with the Boston Medical Center. “People love great buys and to support a great cause. What makes BreakingCauses.com unique is that they deliver great deals and donate all net proceeds to a charity, not just a portion. This is truly doing well and good.”

Today, Breaking Causes launches its first fund raising campaign for the victims of the San Bruno Fire, presented across ten Breaking News city sites (for example, Breaking Coastside News) spanning the San Francisco peninsula. One of the aims of Breaking Causes is to quickly mobilize business communities to develop fund raisers in unexpected or crisis situations. All it takes is a coupon.

    About Breaking Causes

Breaking Causes.com is the community service initiative of The Breaking News Network chartered to support and fund good causes, local, regional and national, by developing Daily Deal campaigns that are actively promoted on the Breaking News Network and its social media feeds. The Breaking News Network is a national media network of hyperlocal city sites with the mission of serving communities with social media sourced local news and daily deals.
